For our 31st year, the Summerfest Arts Festival is undergoing some big changes for 2010. We aim to make Summerfest the highlight of the summer for Evergreen and the entire Front Range. Proceeds from Summerfest go to support CAE arts programming year-round. Summerfest is part of Arts Alive Evergreen, which is July 16-25, and includes an array of art events sponsored by Evergreen’s many arts organizations.

Summerfest will feature our usual array of fabulous fine arts and crafts vendors, including ceramics, digital art, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, wood, and more! Local vendors will be selling food and beverages during the festival. Community groups and nonprofits will have information materials available in our community booth section. Festival guests will be entertained with live music and performances by a variety of Front Range talents throughout the weekend.

We are expanding our kids’ area in a big way in order to draw more families to spend the weekend at Summerfest. Local international nonprofits are participating in a Global Children’s Village, which will feature various cultures, indigenous arts and crafts activities, educational material and fun and games.

Additionally, for the first time we are extending our hours for a special music event with Boo Daddy on Saturday evening from 5-7pm. Finally, we are looking to add beer and wine to our list of offerings to make your day festive and to make Summerfest the best summer festival in Evergreen. This is a summer event you won’t want to miss! Evergreen will come “Alive.”
