A Day with Bruce Marion--Abstract Landscape/Cityscape Workshop
July 1, 2018
Sunday, July 1, 10:00am-5:00pm
All levels
Instructor: Bruce Marion
Course description: In this fun and fast-paced acrylic painting class, you'll find the perfect balance between abstraction and realism, to create two compelling, contemporary paintings- a landscape and a cityscape. You'll learn to keep your painting loose while conveying just the right amount of critical information to make your subject identifiable to viewers. This special class is taught by artist Bruce Marion, who's mastered "painting on the edge" between abstraction and realism, as seen in his highly sought after landscapes, cityscapes and figurative work. Using palette knives and brushes, he'll guide you through creating lush abstracted foliage, reflective waters, and compelling skies in your landscape piece, then continue demonstrating his techniques on a vibrant cityscape, to create dynamic buildings in a colorful skyline, full of energy and texture. This is Bruce's only trip up to Colorado to teach this year, so don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to work with him.
