Calls for Entries
The Center for the Arts gallery space is typically reserved for our exhibition schedule, which is set by the CAE Curatorial Committee of the Board of Directors. CAE receives a 40% commission on all artwork sold in our exhibitions.
Individuals, pairs, or small groups may also propose an exhibit in the CAE Main or Small Galleries, however, we are usually scheduled out at least 18 months and the exhibits are usually juried or thematic. We encourage individuals, pairs, or small groups to apply to show at one of our satellite galleries instead. We coordinate two-month exhibitions at both the Rotary Gallery, which is the lobby at Center/Stage, and Buchanan Rec Center on their main level. We usually only schedule these exhibits for the current year. For exhibits in the satellite galleries, it is the artist’s responsibility to design and hang the show and provide artwork labels. CAE provides a sign directing people to call us for any art sales. CAE receives a 30% commission on all artwork sold in the satellite galleries. Here is our general exhibit proposal form, which can be used for all exhibit proposals:
